Validation of Prior Learning (VAE)

For entry into the first or second cycle, the juries can assess the knowledge and skills of students acquired through their professional or personal experience.

This personal or professional experience must correspond to at least five years of activity, with higher education years being taken into account for no more than one year per 60 acquired credits, and not exceeding two years in total.

Following an evaluation procedure organized by the authorities of the higher education institution, the jury determines whether the student’s abilities and knowledge are sufficient to successfully pursue these studies.

The application procedure is the same as for the Bachelor's or Master's programs, via arba-esa.be/stealth/

The application file must be completed with the following documents:

• A detailed CV
• Proof of experiences gained in the various activities justifying the VAE request: portfolio, employment contracts, or any supporting documents deemed useful by the applicant
• The application form available on the registration platform
