ArBA-EsA is an artistic higher education establishment whose organizing authority is the City of Brussels.

As an autonomous organizing power, the City of Brussels extends its educational action to nursery, primary, secondary and higher education, social promotion and artistic teaching at reduced hours. Education in the City belongs to the official subsidized network and is non-denominational in nature.

The City of Brussels recognizes the essential role of education in building a democratic, equitable, united and respectful society. The school must train individuals who are the architects of their own development and of a just, open and harmonious society. To carry out this social project, it is essential that education is based on the founding principles of a democratic society.
