Admission to the 1st Cycle for B2 and B3

Admission to the 1st cycle (2nd or 3rd year of Bachelor's) at ArBA-EsA is based on an artistic portfolio. For selected candidates, an interview and/or assessment will be organized and coordinated directly by the course instructor.

ArBA-EsA offers 14 Bachelor’s degree programs, with assessments organized within each program. These assessments are open to all candidates holding a Belgian diploma (CESS) or an equivalent foreign diploma, who wish to begin their academic journey at the school. Students holding a foreign access title must submit a request for equivalence before July 10 through the website www.equivalences.cfwb.be.

Admission during the course cycle is reserved for students who can demonstrate prior academic or artistic experience.

For admitted candidates (an official document will be provided by the course instructor), the validation and program committee will assess the credits acquired during previous higher education studies. It will then establish the student’s Annual Program (PAE), taking into account their prior knowledge, in accordance with the decree of November 7, 2013, which defines the landscape of higher education and the academic organization of studies in the French Community of Belgium, and with the regulations of the School.

Admission to the 2nd Cycle (Master)

Admission to the Master's cycle at ArBA-EsA is based on an artistic portfolio. For selected candidates, an interview will be organized and coordinated by the course instructor.

The Academy offers 17 Master's programs, and admission juries are organized within each program. These juries are open to all candidates holding a Belgian or equivalent foreign diploma, who wish to embark on an academic journey at the school. Candidates' diplomas must demonstrate a minimum of 180 credits in higher education in the field of art, or an equivalent qualification that showcases significant artistic practice. Candidates may also be admitted based on their professional artistic experience.

Admission to the second cycle is only possible after approval from the artistic jury of the program, followed by administrative registration, validated by the jury responsible for recognizing prior learning and establishing the annual program (PAE) based on the student's proposal.

This process ensures that students' prior academic and artistic achievements are recognized, and that their study plan is personalized and aligned with their experience.
