Teachers & administration

Mobility of teachers

This action allows teaching staff in a higher education establishment and guest company staff* to carry out a period of teaching in a higher education establishment in another country participating in the Program.

The objectives of mobility :

  • encourage higher education establishments to broaden and enrich the range and content of courses offered
  • enable students who are unable to participate in mobility programs to benefit from the knowledge and expertise of teachers and experts from other European countries
  • promote the exchange of expertise and experience regarding teaching methods
  • create links between higher education establishments as well as with businesses

But above all, encourage staff to consider a period of mobility and help them prepare for it.

The main principles :

  • duration between 1 day (with a minimum of 8 hours of lessons) and 6 weeks, however, a minimum duration of 5 days is strongly recommended in order to contribute significantly to the teaching program and international life in the host establishment
  • accessible to teaching staff from higher education institutions participating in the program and to guest staff from companies located in a country participating in the program
  • the activities of staff carrying out a teaching mission must be integrated into the curriculum of the host establishment
  • mobility organized within the framework of a bilateral agreement between home and host institutions holding an Erasmus University Charter, except in the case of experts from the business world
  • mobility governed by an individualized education program

Terms :

  • The selection of mobile personnel falls within the competence of the institutions and must be carried out in a transparent, fair and coherent manner. In the case of experts from the business world, the mobility mission is launched by an invitation from the higher education establishment to the expert.

Documents :

A document for the city of Brussels must be completed and a letter must be written to the management. Higher education establishments, partner companies and the teacher/expert agree in advance on the program of courses taught: teaching program. At the end of the stay, the host institution issues the teacher/expert a certificate of stay. The teacher/expert concludes his mission by writing a mobility report.

Financial aspects :

The scholarship is managed by the home higher education establishment in the case of teachers and by the host establishment in the case of invited experts, it can cover travel and accommodation costs. The terms and conditions relating to mobility financing must be specified in a grant contract.

Specific needs:

People with specific needs can apply for an additional grant.

* definition of enterprise: “any organization engaged in an economic activity in the private or public sector, regardless of its size, its legal status or the economic sector in which it operates”. Administrative mobility

As administrative staff at ArBA-EsA, you can benefit from a few days of experience in a European school thanks to the Erasmus+ STT program.

The mobility of administrative staff aims to

  • enable the acquisition of knowledge or know-how based on experiences and good practices abroad, as well as practical skills;
  • improve your language skills;
  • help develop cooperation between higher education establishments.

The Erasmus+ STT program is aimed at all staff of a higher education establishment (administrative, technical staff, etc.). It allows them to carry out, over a period of 2 days to 2 months, a training mobility in an establishment, a company or a training organization in another European country.

Unlike other Erasmus+ mobilities, the existence of an agreement is not necessary to participate in a training mobility.
