Récupérathèque – La Brolerie
The Brolerie, ArBA-EsA's recycling library, is a collaborative store for reused materials operating with its own currency, aiming to promote sustainability, solidarity, and the creation of social bonds.
Based on the exchange of materials, the Brolerie invites you to come take, trade, and donate the materials needed for your creative processes. It offers a wide variety of materials and supplies of all kinds: tape, paints, wood, plexiglass, papers, pencils, glues, records, cups, fabrics, envelopes, and other common or quirky items!
More specifically, you can find a well-stocked haberdashery section, high-quality paper, and small fine arts supplies.
The Foirien is the currency used at the Brolerie. This currency cannot be exchanged for money; it is earned through bartering materials or offering services (shifts, tidying up, etc.).
All ArBA-EsA users are welcome at the Brolerie. Students, even those not enrolled in the Elective Course, can fully participate in the recycling library’s operations. These are the "Bros of the Brolerie": more than just members, the Bros are essential contributors who commit to performing regular tasks in exchange for Foirien each month.
The Brolerie is part of the network of Récupérathèques fédérées en France et en Belgique initiated by Olivier Milis and Esther Coillet-Matillon.
The Brolerie is located within ArBA-EsA, at the bottom of the staircase leading to the various workshops, in room M004.
The Brolerie is also an Elective Course available to B3 and M1 students.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday, from 12 PM to 2 PM.
