The Academy is also home to the publishing house La Part de l’Œil, which has been pursuing, since 1985, its exploration and invention of contemporary aesthetic discourse through the annual journal of visual arts thought La Part de l’Œil and its collections: “Théorie” (essays), “Diptyque” (artist monographs), and “Fiction” (literature and poetry).
The journal La Part de l’Œil brings together studies inspired by psychoanalysis, philosophy, semiotics, art history, and anthropology. It is committed to revitalizing aesthetic questions, rethinking the approach to artworks, and attempting to establish a foundation for aesthetic discourse so that this field of work becomes a meeting ground for researchers — a space for the emergence and stimulation of a truly rigorous scientific thought.
