Rooted in the collaborative spirit of role-playing games โ where the construction of imaginary worlds is driven by active interaction โ ๐ฌ ๐ผ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ป๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฑ๐๐๐๐๐ unfolds as a participatory narrative projected into the Abbaye de La Cambre.
๐ฌ ๐ผ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ป๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฑ๐๐๐๐๐ brings together Julie De Kezel and Inรจs Guffroy, whose practices explore the porous boundaries between exhibition and scenography, DIY culture, storytelling, and the narrative potential of role-playing games. Drawing from the classic quest structure found in fantasy literature and video games, they construct a world where imagination becomes a tool for resistance โ a space where forests, nature, folkloric figures, and fantastical imagery trace paths to togetherness.
The ๐ญ๐๐๐๐ ๐ธ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, which accompany the main quest, invite a cook, a DJ, and a researcher to contribute to the evolving story โ expanding and deepening the experience through their perspectives.
This exhibition follows the SAFFCA Prize, awarded annually to an emerging curator in partnership with the Masterโs program in Exhibition Practices (CARE) at ArBA-EsA. It is also part of the Art Brussels OFF program.
