Stephanie Kayal is a Lebanese choreographer and performer based in Brussels. Her work blurs the lines between reality and fiction, using dance, music, text, and video to craft absurd, personal-political, and darkly humorous performances. Her works include Evidence of Things Not Seen, Galactic Crush, The Time It Took You to Realize It Was a Dream and Galactic Crush 2: Into The Cold. She is accompanied by Hiros and supported by Platform Parallèle. A Sundance Theatre Lab and Common Lab fellow, her projects have been developed and presented at venues such as Kunstencentrum Buda, Frankfurt Lab, Zoukak Theatre, Théâtre National de Bruxelles, La Friche Belle de Mai and Théâtre de la Vie. As a performer, she has collaborated with different artists, performing across Europe, South America, and the SWANA region. Kayal holds a master’s degree in theater studies from the Lebanese University of Arts and a master’s degree in choreography and arts from the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts, Bruxelles.
