Décanter la nuit
An exhibition curated by Thibaud Leplat and David Pons, bringing together Sacha Collin Rivière, Paul Gérard, and Jordan Roger Barré.
The project was born out of an invitation from Paul Gérard, who suggested that the curators build an exhibition around his new play, Les monstres n’existent pas (Monsters Don’t Exist).
Presented in an empty apartment, the exhibition seeks less to excuse than to understand—to look at what is passed on, what is replayed, and how we can, perhaps, transform a legacy.
Between the lines, Décanter la nuit, also explores forms of filiation, those we receive despite ourselves and those we choose. Whether imposed, desired, or reinvented, these filiations run through the works like underground lines: they tell us what shapes us, what we refuse to perpetuate, and what we decide to continue in a different way.
